Update on Megan's Upcoming Projects Plus Charity Drive Deadline Nears
Megan has a number of new projects slated for 2010. Some things to look forward to:
- Megan's episode of Glenn Martin, DDS, called "Little Miss Backstabber," will be airing on Nickelodeon at 8 p.m. Eastern this Tuesday, December 29. (Please double check your local listings.) Megan will be performing two voices (described as "the little old lady who runs the pageant" and "Mama"). It's also available on iTunes for $2.99.
- Megan has also done an episode of Phineas and Ferb, which airs on the Disney Channel. The episode is scheduled for February; we'll keep you posted on dates and times.
- Megan is playing the role of Peg in the independent film The Bitter Feast, which is currently in post-production. No word on a release date, but you can check out the teaser trailer here. (Warning: this is a comic horror film, so if you are squeamish, you might want to think twice about looking at this link.)
- Megan also has a role in the short film The Happiest Man Alive, which may be screeing at some film festivals this year. We'll do our best to keep you posted on potential screening locations.
- In addition to her nomination, Megan will be presenting at the Ovation Awards in Los Angeles on January 11.
- As announced last week, Megan will be performing a solo concert at Feinstein's at Loews Regency in New York (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street) on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $60 for premium seating and $40 for general admission with a $25 food and beverage minimum, and can be ordered here. For more information on Feinstein's, visit their Web site or call 212-339-4095.
If you haven't contributed to the MHO Charity Drive, now is the time. Remember, one lucky participant will receive a 9 to 5 lithograph by Broadway's favorite caricaturist, Squiggs (and signed by Megan). Find out more about the charity drive on its Nothing But Sun thread and contribute by January 1, 2010. This is a great way to ring in the New Year!
Finally, this week we came across two vids, one old, one fairly new. First up is a clip of Megan and Julia Murney singing "I Will Never Leave You" at Wicked Divas with the Cincinnati Pops in November. The video's a bit jumpy, but the audio is decent quality. Megan comes into focus around the three minute mark.
In addition, we recently ran across the clip of Megan's appearance on Deal or No Deal in the fall of 2007. Check it out!
