Wicked Divas - News from the Cincinnati Pops
This weekend, Megan performed with Julia Murney in Wicked Divas, a program of Broadway music with the Cincinnati Pops. Megan performed "All that Jazz," "For Good," and "I Will Never Leave You" in duet with Julia, and "'Til There Was You," "I Could Have Danced All Night," "Part of Your World," and "Popular" as a soloist. The show got a great review, and those who were able to attend the concert report that it was a delightful performance.
Partial video has surfaced of Megan's performance of "'Til There Was You." It's not a great visual, but it will give you a chance to hear a little of her singing this classic song.
Last week, Dolly Parton gave an interview about her new live album and DVD, Dolly: Live From London. In it, she talked about her ongoing hopes to put together both a Broadway musical and a film about her life. Megan was once again mentioned as possible casting option. Read more about what Dolly is up to these days here.
In addition, Megan was kind enough to give us information on the charities she supports. If you would like to contribute to one or more of these organizations, check out the list under Contact Megan. (Stay tuned for news about a Nothing But Sun charity drive after Thanksgiving.)
Finally, we recently got ahold of a rare picture from Megan's early time with Wicked. Yup...that's Idina Menzel in the Elphaba costume.
