IDW Productions, the production company for Popular (the television series that Megan is expected to participate in at some point in the future), announced that Spelling Television executives Ken Miller and Gail Patterson are now part of the production team. Here's an excerpt from the press release:
"Ken Miller and Gail Patterson of My Media have signed on to executive produce the half-hour Popular television show, producer Brett Tomberlin and Bart Pearce announced today.
At Spelling Entertainment, Miller and Patterson served as executives overseeing both production and post-production on such award winning shows as Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, 7th Heaven and Charmed.
'IDW is pleased to bring on board two highly regarded experts in television programming with truly impressive credits,' said Pearce. 'We couldn't be more thrilled to have Gail and Ken at the helm of what promises to be an exciting endeavor for all parties involved.'
The show will be the first television program under the IDW banner which the producers hope to shop to networks this summer.
The series is slated to air in 2010 and is produced by IDW Productions, My Media and Phase 3 Films."
